Weather Online, Climatic Changes & Party Supplies

Global warming is a controversial subject, however it is very hard to deny that the earth is experiencing extremes in temperature and weather patterns.

Some scientist argue that this is caused significantly by mankind from  pollutants such as the burning of coal, air conditioning etc. that emit greenhouse gases, and that unless something is done to reduce those emissions, our air temperature will continue to increase, ice on the polar caps will continue to melt and the level of the oceans will rise causing great areas of coastal land to be swallowed by the sea.

Other scientist argue that the earth's air temperature has been fluctuating wildy over the life of our planet, pointing out the existence of past ice ages, and that the rise in temperature that the advocates of global warming are saying exist, is a  phenonomen that occurs naturally over centuries.

The arguements go back and forth between two very committed adversaries, both of which have cases with points that are valid and at this point in time no concrete conclusions have been made in a wide selection of countries. Governments around the world are dealing with the Global warming issue in various ways and the countries that are polluting the atmosphere at the greatest rate have the spotlight firmly fixed on what they intend to due to lower their greenhouse gass emissions. Great debate is also being exercised in the public sector, with passionate debates being run by committed people on both sides of the fence.

Australia has had events in the past few years that have cause the Global warming debates to increase and below are some quotations from various sources discussing the outcomes of what is seen as drastic weather.

** ''I hope and pray that mother nature is leaving us alone to get on with the job of cleaning up and recovering from this event,''
- Queensland Premier Anna Bligh, quoted in The Age, 15 January 2011.

** The proportion of Australia experiencing hot and wet extremes has increased in line with predictions of the impact of rising greenhouse gas emissions. - Adam Morton, The Age, January 16, 2011

** Some areas of Queensland are so flood-prone they should never have been built on and should be declared no-go zones, with residents bought out and moved out, according to an international disaster expert.  Karen Kissane, The Age, January 15, 2011

Hopefully some agreement will be reached by the West and the less developed countries to deal with these problems, and come up with a solution that will allow progess and development to proceed without causing great environmental damage.

People get on with their lives and try as much as possible to celebrate what we have today, and Australians are no exception. We may be worried about climate change but we are still getting married, celebrating our birthdays such as 18th,  21st, 50th and even up to 100th birthday parties. Our children are growing and each year another year older and each year we want to celebrate that milestone. Themed birthday parties for adults or children are a great way to forget our worries and you will find many links below to help with your party themes and party decorating that you will love and the children will love. Weddings celebrating the union of two young people is the epitome of hopes for our future and the future of our planet.  Getting together as a family to celebrate someones birthday, anniversary, engagement or wedding makes for wonderful memories that will never be forgotten.

We all have to be mindful of how we have to conduct our lives to stop polluting our world, but we also need to have fun and be happy. We always get a lot more done for our environment when we are relaxed not continually worrying, so celebrations and parties with our family and friends play a big part in our lives, as well as major issues such as global warming, and by creating a work play balance in our lives our achievments will be greater.
